<p>Academy of Christ the King was founded on 15th October, 1976 by the Mothers&rsquo; Union of the Anglican Church, Cape Coast, under the leadership of the Most Rev. I. S. M. Le-Maire (Late Archbishop of the Province of West Africa) and the Most Rev. R. G. A. Okine (Retired Archbishop) when he was the Priest-in-Charge of the Christ the King Parish, Cape Coast. The Population at that time was 60 students including 8 females. In January, 1998, the school was absorbed by government into the public system of Senior Secondary Schools.</p> <p>Academy of Christ the King is a co-educational Senior High School which basically caters for Day students but has BOARDING facilities for just a few students. The school has since 2015, relocated partially to the new site where the Government acquired the land at Abura in 30th October, 1978.</p> <p>The school offers the following programs:</p> <ol> <li>General Science</li> <li>General Art</li> <li>Home Economics</li> <li>Visual Arts</li> <li>Business</li> <li>General Agriculture</li> </ol> <p>&nbsp;</p>
