About
<p>Academy of Christ the King was founded on 15th October, 1976 by the Mothers’ Union of the Anglican Church, Cape Coast, under the leadership of the Most Rev. I. S. M. Le-Maire (Late Archbishop of the Province of West Africa) and the Most Rev. R. G. A. Okine (Retired Archbishop) when he was the Priest-in-Charge of the Christ the King Parish, Cape Coast. The Population at that time was 60 students including 8 females. In January, 1998, the school was absorbed by government into the public system of Senior Secondary Schools.</p>
<p>Academy of Christ the King is a co-educational Senior High School which basically caters for Day students but has BOARDING facilities for just a few students. The school has since 2015, relocated partially to the new site where the Government acquired the land at Abura in 30th October, 1978.</p>
